Parenting is hard work! That work can be even more difficult when a child struggles with mental health. Stigmas, fears, and even feelings of embarrassment are common for many parents. These experiences can make parents isolated, alone, and feel as if they are the only family with these concerns.
The Parent Support & Education Group has been designed to create a safe place where grand, foster, adoptive, step, and any other kind of parent will receive support and education in a safe and nonjudgmental environment.
In addition, Continuing Education Units can be purchased at an extra cost of $10.00 per hour, per person. This can help foster and adoptive parents meet their licensure requirements.
Our goal is for every group to provide parents with something for their hands, head, and heart, they will use in a meaningful way within the next two weeks. Groups meet every other Thursday. If you have any questions, please contact us at 1.888.631.ExFT.
Look forward to seeing you there! More information on each group session is available on our calendar.
